Introduction to Worksoft Certify Automation 2.0

The Introduction to Worksoft Certify Automation course was designed to provide a basic understanding of the Worksoft Certify solution. Worksoft Certify is the industry’s top-ranked solution for automated business process testing. 

Automate the functional testing of mission-critical processes end-to-end across complex application landscapes, including web technologies, mobile apps, big data, hybrid cloud environments, and dozens of packaged enterprise applications.

This course is divided into the following sections:

  • Getting Start with Worksoft – introduces the Worksoft platform and explains the Worksoft Business Process Testing methodology and components.
     
  • What is Business Capture 2.0? – introduces Worksoft Business Capture, a role-based tool that enables business users and automators to capture processes. 
     
  • Exploring the Main Menu – focuses on the Main Menu of Business Capture. The Business User and Automator User Personas have a similar main menu with a few differences.
     
  • Using Business Capture – will demonstrate how to configure Business Capture and the capture process.
     
  • Navigating Certify – will show how to navigate within Certify.
     
  • Process Overview – will cover the processes, Worksoft's best practices for naming and organizing processes, variables, layouts, and recordsets, as well as how to secure processes and folders.
     
  • Accessing Worksoft Certify – will show how to access Certify and set up the necessary folders.
     
  • Creating a Functional Process – will cover the difference between functional and integrated processes, how to import captured XML files into Certify, the parts of a process step, and how to add steps to a process.
     
  • Using Certify LiveTouch – will cover LiveTouch and how to use LiveTouch to add steps to processes.
     
  • Creating an Integrated Process – will cover creating utility processes and how to create an integrated process.
     
  • Using Variables in Certify – will introduce variables and show how to create, modify and use variables in your Certify processes.
     
  • Managing Data in Certify – will show how to manage data within Certify, including how to create and use: variables, layouts, recordsets, and recordset filters.
     
  • Filtering your Data – will show how to execute your process with data while filtering your data.
     
  • Importing & Exporting Data – will show how to import and export data within Certify.
     
  • Viewing Results – discusses how to view execution results in the Results Viewer and how to generate and view execution results in either detail or summary reports.
     
  • Exporting the Test Process – discusses how to create a BAT file by exporting a process.
     
  • Certify System Objects & Actions – refers to Certify system objects and their associated actions.
     
  • Developing Advanced Process using Conditional Logic – will be created to edit, update, and delete existing purchase orders in the Worksoft Web Sample Application by collecting data from the application and using additional Certify conditional logic and verification techniques.
